The Garden Library
A new library allows Tel Aviv's large migrant workers community to enjoy literature in its native tongues.

Looking for books in Chinese, Nepali, Thai, Hindi, Bengali, Tagalog, Arabic, French, Spanish and English? A new library, that opened in the Lewinski Park as part of the Centennial Year community projects, offers 3000 books for the city's thriving foreign community.

The library was built by members of the ARTIS team and hundreds of volunteers. It includes books for children as well as adults, and is open during weekends. The books in the library are arranged in a unique method: not by alphabetical order, but rather based on the emotions they evoke while read.
