Get ready to party! The Centennial Year event season is heading towards an end, with one final celebration: an open-air party on Saturday October 17th at the Yarkon Estuary near the Tel Aviv Port.
The site selected for the party is the historic lighthouse, built north of the city's port. The lighthouse was selected by Tel Aviv-born illustrator Nahum Gutman as the main icon in the city's crest, symbolizing its openness to the world and its citizens' hospitable nature.

At 20:30 the show will begin, with an extravagant water and lights show projected on water screens in the Yarkon River. A special clip featuring typical Tel Aviv residents will be screened to the tune of "I Loved Her," a song by one of the country's most popular singers, Shlomo Artzi. Mayor Ron Huldai, together with children from Tel Aviv, will light the lighthouse in a spectacular pyrotechnical display, accompanied by a popular Israeli ballad, "I have light" sung by Kobi Aflallo.
Following the water show is a concert by some of the city's most popular rock singers and then a typical Tel Aviv-style open-air party. The event is free of charge.
To promote the party, the Israel Ministry of Tourism has launched an international marketing campaign with the intention of using the event as a platform to promote City-Break tourism to Tel Aviv-Yafo. The Ministry has teamed up with El Al, Israel's national carrier, and the Tel Aviv Hotel Association to offer extremely low-priced packages to attend the event.
