The Governor of California and the children of the Shalom School in Sacramento celebrate the Centennial Year

The Tel Aviv-Yafo Centennial Year was marked by the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In a special televised address, Schwarzenegger and the children of the Shalom School in Sacramento wished the citizens of Tel Aviv-Yafo a happy 100th birthday.

The special addressed was taped on April 28th, when dozens of students from Kindergarten through Sixth grades, arrived at the California State Capitol wearing special T-shirts bearing the number "100."  They sang "Rack b'Tel Aviv" ("Only in Tel Aviv") as Governor Schwarzenegger spoke his affection to Tel Aviv.

The Centennial Year Administration wishes to thank Executive Director Dr. Joan Gusinow and Hebrew teacher Odelia Mehrsaz for their enthusiasm and dedication, which resulted in the magnificent address and performance.
