In 1959, Rabbi Unterman – the Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv – wrote a special prayer for the safety and prosperity of the city on its jubilee. Now, exactly 50 years after that event, synagogues around the city will be coming together to rejoice again in that special prayer, recognising how far Tel Aviv has come over the years.
