A Flower Carpet  Rabin Square

As the Jewish High Holidays approach, Rabin Square will be decorated between September 16-17 with a unique carpet, composed of 500,000 flowers.

The carpet's design is a homage to the history of Tel Aviv, and was inspired by tiles and murals found in the homes of several of the city's founders.

The flower carpet is a special tribute of the city of Brussels for the Tel Aviv-Yafo Centennial Year, and it will be inaugurated in the presence of the Ambassador of Belgium in Israel HE Ms. Bénédicte Frankinet and the Mayor of Brussles, Mr. Freddy Thielemans. The flower will be laid by a special team from Brussels, the Tel Aviv-Yafo Department of City Beautification, and dozens of volunteers.

The flower carpet is one of dozens of events that are part of the Month of Art of the Tel Aviv-Yafo Centennial Year. For a full list of events, click here.
